Pavilion Lake Report - May 14-15

Went out to the Pavilion Lake yesterday from 345-615 and had a blast throwing a top water plug to dropoffs and shallow cover. Landed 12 bass on the topwater and another three on a modified texas rigged worm. Went around the entire lake and had success at nearly every stop. The least productive location was the dam riprap that offered no bites. The evening bite was hot and there is nothing better than topwater action.

Went out today for about 1.5 hours and only managed two bass. Again I threw the topwater, but to no avail. The Afternoon bite was considerably slower and I only managed a few swirls on the topwater. I threw the modified texas rigged worm (modified meaning that I didn't use a slip, bullet weight) and landed both fish on this. However, the first and larger bass weighed in at 1lb 5ozs and was a healthy looking football shaped bass. He did have scarring over his right eye, but other than that, put up a good fight.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
