4-11-15, Potomac River

I'm Call us crazy but we went. It was blowing 20+.....

.... and we took a pounding (tin boat) in the way to the fertile fishing grounds.

Mt. Vernon

Ft. Washington

Washington Harbor

Once there, we deployed the spider rigs and went work.

Capt. Dennis has been after me to d this for quite a while. I always resisted....no idea why!

If you ever get a chance to go with Capts. Mike, Dennis or Dave, DO OT!

This style of fishing is a blast! I just wish the wind had backed off a little though.....

The 1st fish bit and it was enormous (fat)!

Same for most of the others!

Then Jack caught a close to 5 pounder!

Quite the lunker and would have been best fish for a tourney that we were not in..Things slowed down, mostly because we were strolling too fast due to the wind so we made a move.

We did get a keeper crappie at the new place and another nice LMB than Owen brought in.

When we came in, things had settled down to make an easy boat retrieve at a not so easy ramp.

Some of the haul!

And the fattie!

Dennis was bummed because we didn't have a great day. We were glad to be out on a nice, albeit windy, day!

The day before, they had close to 40 like this. Incredible fishery and a cool way to catch 'em!
