Weather prediction....Windy....with Bass

Just got back from another trip and geeish....enough of the wind already....tried the morning and got blown off the lakes...tried the afternoon on Goose Creek...with no luck.  Returned to the lakes this evening and whola!!  Windy or not...dem' bass were biting...caught a bunch of little guys and then, on what became the last cast of the day, this gal showed up.

Not the biggest bass, but great color, "thick and with shoulders."  All in all...very healthy.

Great to be catching these little bass....as small as 3"...means the lakes are healthy and the fish population is thriving.

Saw the BG's moving around....look forward to chasing them when the wind calms down a bit.

BTW:  If you want to see some fish that can bite back...check out my post on 2015 Expeditions.

Saw you out there right before I went on my windy walk.

Lots of surface action last night as the sun was settling....I just watched!

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Weather prediction....Windy....with Bass

Hi Firemunkee,
I waited until the sun was setting...windy seems to die down a little bit.  I was using 5" Yamamoto Senko worm....they have pretty good weight.  Used it again today and had several strikes, but didn't get a good hook into anything.  Switch to a very light fly rod and caught a mess of BGS's.

Best regards,

Fishfry

Oh that's true, senkos do throw pretty well. Thanks!
