3-28 Ashburn Ponds 6.67 lb.

I walked just about all the ponds over the weekend and pulled a few decent fish. My sticks are feeling hot, this could be a good year. Clear water in most of the ponds. The one LM that was 2.97 lb. smacked a white chatter bait with a craw trailer . The slightly pale 2 lb. hit my spinner bait on the fall in some very stained water.

I have seen some fry in a few spots and a bed or two already this week. This very fat 6.67 lb. hammered my bait after just one or two hops. Black and blue 8 inch lizard in about five feet of water.

Lot's of bass are moving around now, we should see some big fish landed over the next few weeks.

Thanks, just a week or two of pond fishing left then time to dunk the Ranger. The ponds all look good . I think some of the management Curley organized a few seasons ago has paid off.
