Robinson River 3/15

Finally got to wet a line last weekend. The crazy wind really limited my options, so I hit the Robinson River for some trout. Found a big school of fish right away and started throwing trout magnets at them. The wind made casting tricky but I picked away for about 40 minutes until I had my limit of 6. Felt great to finally get some pullage after weeks of frozen water.

Fresh from the smoker. Time to make some dip.

Very Nice!Bryan.....so nice to see some reports!

What do you use for dip? I once had a mix of horseradish and what I think was Cool Whip. It was incredible!

Cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, and whatever else I feel like that day. Cool Whip, horseradish, and fish huh? I'll take your word for it....

Don't just yet....that is what I THINK it was.....they smoked the trout and broke the meat into small pieces. Mix w/ dip and serve on bread. It was good!

Nice! We were you using the trout magnet with the indicator float?

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

I actually wouldn't mind trying it. If I can find a recipe I might whip up a small batch.

Firemunkee, I use trout magnets on straight 2lb test with no floats or weights.
