PSG Show review from just today

Capt Dave found a closet full of reels just after the show opened. So I was in the booth for the first 20 minutes wondering where he was...He comes back with excited breath and pulls out two Shimi Citca reels out his pocket. Hands them to me and heads right back after I hand him a 10 bucker for a reel I sold while he was away. 20 minutes later he is back with two more reels and a rod.. One was a pro qualifier and the other an Abu Revo. The rod was an All Star high end worm rod..total spent 30 bucks.. He gave me one of the Shimi's and I bought the Abu off him..

Now for a couple rods the go with the new reels..

Well, did you sell anything?

Bob was teasing me as they had a new Targa for sale outside.  Glad I didn't go.

I went to the Rapidan show and bought a few flies for white perch fishing. The trout dude gave me a funny look.

Left a few dollars for bucket and raffle stuff. Hope I get a call or six this weekend.

Good BBQ too!

Ernie, that Targa was the second stop of the day (Bass Pro Shop). It's the Spring Fishing Classic with rod and reel trade-ins in full swing. Twisted my own arm and got rid of some old, then spent too much on some new.

When you get a chance ask the Captains about the white perch down south.

Re: PSG Show review from just today

I decided that the Shimi reel belongs to Capt Dave since he found the rat killer deal. Today he spied a low end new lightning rod hidden among other very cheap rods. Sign on bucket said 20 bucks and so I got the rod home tonight and put the five buck Revo on it.. Feels really good so I checked on Amazon how much it really cost.. Uhmm 79 bucks for this model.. the whole rig was 25 bucks..

OK I now have a rod & reel for sale..no I do not..no I do not indeed Olly.

Wish I would have known you were there, it would have been nice to meet you. I showed up at 10 to catch Capt Ed Lawrence's seminar on fishing Mobjack Bay. Picked up a couple things from that guy selling those Japanese plastics too.

I got a pack of those shrimp and a pack of jig trailers that reek of rancid squid. Can't wait to try em.
