Wow crazy prices! I don't know anything about fly fishing, but I'm sure I'll get into it. Any recommendation on a good starter rod/reel/line?

A 6 or 7wt is a great place to start as you can use for BGs, LMB and SMB. The only thing you can't do is throw big bass bugs. You can also use for shad provided you get a sinking line.

So, I would get a 7 wt with an appropriate reel and a 7wt WF7 floating line. For shad fishing, you would need a 7 sinking line which you could also use for stripers in the bay.

You cannot go wrong with their stuff!!

All their fly rods are sold out, except the 15# closeout model Oh well...I guess it prevents me from spending all my money right now...
