Shenandoah River 8-16-2014

I went to the shenandoah river this past weekend.  The trip was looking like a bust as most of the bass were around 6" in length until I landed a 2.5 lbs smallmouth.   I was on top of the world until I landed a 5.25 lbs toad.

Very nice.  Hard to believe the smallmouth was only 2.5 pounds!  But still a very very nice fish.  What did they all hit on?

They both bit about 20 mins apart on my way back to the car.  I got them both off of a 6" zoom brush hog using a Texas rig.

It was my girl with me actually and not Thai this time.
