July 27th Report

Another evening of tough fishing. Had two great fisherman on board and they could tread a needle with a baitcaster. So many great casts and so little result. Two fish landed and three solid hits was the count for the evening. One fish blasted the hollow body frog about 2 feet right up in the air. Lots of swipes by reluctant fish.

Beautiful creek. Everyone would enjoy an evening on Mattawoman, but it takes someone who fishes a lot to feel satisfaction back at the dock after all that casting for just a couple fish. Thanks again Ernie, and Capt Mike.

Re: July 27th Report

I definately felt it this morning but I would do it again in an instant. The anticipation is worth it....

It's always good to get out with you two guys...I always learn something.

Re: July 27th Report

Both Capt Dave and felt it too. I would guess I pushed the boat about 7-9 miles this weekend. But it feels good.
What was it my German Health Ed teacher used to say.

"Pain is good and makes you feel alive."

Often wondered about her. She wore a lot of black leather.

Awesome! Hard to believe that wilderness is just miles from the nation's capitol! Love fishing over there with Capt Mike every year. Bummed that a family circumstance keeps me from going next Saturday. :-(

I posted the booking in the classifieds in a couple places. Surprised no bites so far. Good company, good BBQ, great stories and usually very good fishing!
