6-29, the blue gills are getting bigger!
Did some sight fishing with the fly rod this afternoon. BGs are on the bed again....but the bed guardians are not biting.
But....the humpy's were aggressive for sure. Caught a few dozen with some big ones mixed in.
Had a decent 1.5lb cruising the shallows and he took the fly. Nice fight on the 4wt!
The BG biters were just in the dark area off the beds. At 1st, they hit the chartreuse spider but then they stopped so I went to a black ant and they continued to hit. They did not want top water today.
I need to hit some other spots than just behind my house....
Time to go fishin' again!

We were across the cove from your place on Saturday morning and the bobber was going down as soon as it hit the water. Not as much grass gunk on that side either.
She asks me every week now if we can go fishing on the weekend. Sounds like she's got the bug too. Must've gotten it from her daddy.
