Ernie let me bring my Grandson over to his pond for some bluegill action.  We were using a small crappie tube and trout magnets on bobber rigs mostly.  On about his second or third cast with the crappie tube, Emerson caught his first Largemouth ever that ran about 14".

The algae had grown in pretty much all along the shore, so that put a damper on his ability to fish without fouling the lure.  He tried sporadically, but failed to land another fish.  I ended up catching about 4 small bass and 3 bluegill, including one of the bass on a small popper.  My focus was on him and we had a great afternoon.  We saw lots of turtles including one on the shore that looked like it was on a nest, a Heron, ducks and a robins' egg that some predator had gotten from a nest.  We ended the evening with chicken nuggets and a DQ dipped cone.
