March 15th Report

Today I had the pleasure of some most excellent company. The fishing was not bad as the west winds made for some tough setups. We moved about several times and just before the wind kicked in at 25 mph we got some larger fish. The 6 foot plus frame makes the fish look smaller.. really.

Yea we a few of those whisker less striped catfish too.

Re: March 15th Report

They ranged from 3 lbs to about 40 lbs. The 40 lb did something odd. It hit an decided to just sit. For the first 5 minutes I thought it was snagged then a slow head shake and a whole lot of screaming drag followed. I guess he figured out he was hooked at that point.

Still no live bait hits but the water was 40 degrees and they are starting to wake up. Soon they will hit live bait again....
