My calculations last night showed a significant difference in the snowfall amount between Dulles and Ashburn. We are closer to the hills which is making a big difference in how the moisture is mixing in.
And if you believe all of that.....
We will be in a dry slot in a little bit....
Apparently the mailman believes the Dulles numbers because he is delivering...."Neither Rain nor Snow nor Sleet?

IAD now showing 6.5"............T. is looking pretty good right now.

Definitely no school tomorrow. Have not plowed the school lot down from the house. BIG question is..........will the feds shut down tomorrow too..........or 2 hr delay? The answer will be.............be at work early on Tuesday .

Got the message Loudoun schools officially closed Tuesday. Telework is becoming a good habit. I feel like Ernie sitting around my house in my underwear teleworking all week (FYI...Ernie, that is a joke in case you weren't sure).

Just got in to work about an hour ago. Seems like Fairfax county ran out of salt and trucks for the western half of the county. It was all snow (about 2-3 inches) on the secondarys (Braddock) until I got just outside the beltway. Navigating the neighborhood is obviously way worse....sheets of ice out there.

They can borrow some of the salt and sand off my street. The thing looks like one of those cinnamon and sugar covered doughnuts from the Fractured Prune... Hmmmm doughnuts.
