4-12-08, West Palm Beach fishing report

It was a beautiful day in Florida! I woke up to calm winds and a spectacular sunrise!

Only problem today was that there was no current. Regardless, eight of us set out in Capt. Lee Egan's 46' Markley. Yes...the same type boat we see in the Chesapeake bay all the time......great boat! Capt. Lee is a great guy and I spent a bunch of time picking his brain....

Here is his website: http://www.seahorsefishingadventures.com/index.htm

The fishing was tough to say the least but we did manage some fish! Here is the 1st fish of the day!

Never did get her name but she caught a nice trigger fish!

Then my friend Mike caught this remora (they like sharks)!

All fish were caught on cut bait. I was using jigs but I had a skunk...maybe I would get a break the next day!

As we headed back in, this nice boat came by us!

It was a great day in the water despite a bit of a slow bite.
