This is the boat I just finished building. It is a pirogue(flat bottom canoe that can go in very shallow water. Designed and built it myself.
I took it out on the big lake by the pool.
Then I met Bigfoot at Cedar and caught these two.
I caught these two the day before Easter along with five others.
Yesterday we waded the potomac by the algonkian boat ramp and came out with no fish.

Forgot to mention the boats name. I decided to change the name to whatever girl I am dating at the time or if I meet an attractive girl I can tell her my boat is named after her. As of now the boats name is " "

Charlie,
That is an outstanding work of art!! You should be very proud.
Can I expect you and bigfoot to do a float on the 'doah or Potomac later this year? As soon as the water warms, I will taking my kayak on some floats!

There are a couple of put ins that are less than an hour from here and are very flat floats....no rapids to speak of...but some decent fishing for smallies.

The float goes over rocks so I would be nervous about a wood boat. Might be better off in a plastic boat. You guys can always use my canoe.

The wooden boat will do fine....i have taken wooden boats on goose creek many times over rocks and stuff. I was just curious if i could put an 18ft motor boat in.

Unless it's a jet motor, I would say no due to the shallows and riffles.
