7-26 Occoquan......Here snakie...snakie!

Woke up this morning and decided to go to Occoquan by myself for Snakies.  High tide was coming in when I got there and the sun was bright overhead.......not ideal.  Went to the grass and pads with my mouse for 3 hrs.  After about 15 minutes I get a nice blowup and land this 22" fat NHS.

Then proceed to catch 5 bass between 1.5-3.0 lbs.  Here is 3 of them.

On the way out I get another fat NHS at 23".

Saw two huge NHS that must have been 3 feet long, but they were paired together and would not bite.

The two NHS that I cleaned were full of roe......I guess spawn #3 or so..........

Might hit the WC tomorrow morning..........................

30 spotlight boats will now appear in your fishing area tonight. (insert smiley icon here)

Nice catch and some fine eating.

Curly,
Looks like you had a great day. See...you don't need to go all the way to Aquia to get those snakies...congratulations. By the way, what is WC?

Nice Curly. I went to Pohick on Thursday and got a couple bass. Saw two BIG snakeheads but by the time I see them I usually can't get them to bite because they've seen me too. Hopefully Ernie and I can get into some on Monday.

I think that is hard to do in the daylight. They are tough to spot and once they see you, they are gone in a flash.
