The weather was ominous and it kept us off the water for a bit as the thunder passed through.
only got 70 minutes of fishing in before the PRSC Boat night event. We had about 50 folks show up, a little light but the food was plentiful and good.
I forgot my camera but I only caught 2 little dinks anyway. one of the guys caught 6 but no size to any of them.
Regardless, it was nice to splash the yak for a bit.

George- I was there due to PRSC Boat Night deal....I did not venture far because of the looming storms. I was well within sight of the ramp at all times.
Not sure I would ever fish that stretch anyway,,,,

Why not? My two biggest Potomac smallies have come from that area.
I totally forgot about last night until 8pm or so. With the weather I would've decided against it anyways.

T.- the weather actually turned out OK. We had about 50 show up and everyone ate well.
Nothing against that stretch it's just that I prefer a float vs a paddle up 'n float. That water is faster than Algonkian. It's a great area to fish as long as you get away from the general launch area.

I'm w/ T - there's some nice fish in that area - just need to know where to look & when.

Yep- it's just not a place that I have on my target list but if someone were to want to fish there at the right time, I would jump at the chance.....

I prefer a float as opposed to lauch, paddle, fish, paddle.
