July 4th Algonkian Paddle 'n Float

I suggest that we start early (Sunup is at 5:48 AM) and get off before 11 Am (that is when the crazies come out).

Who is in?

1. Ernie
2. Bob
3. Miguel
4. Greg & Tyler?
5. Travis?

I have a canoe to lend out....would prefer if you had your own transportation.

Ernie,
Just got an email late last night from my daughter. We are getting together for the day on the 4th, so unfortunately I won't be able to join you on the outing. I hope everyone has a successful, fun, and safe day.

Miguel- I am no expert but all the gauges (POR and Little Falls) are showing low flows.

I think we are OK for Algonkian.

Re: July 4th Algonkian Paddle 'n Float

How's the river doing with all of the rain and flood warnings? I expect to see lily pads in the back yard any day.

Re: July 4th Algonkian Paddle 'n Float

Little Falls is at 3.5".....very normal )low) flow.

POR is at 2.5"....quite normal too.

The sky is falling....oh, that's hat the TV weather people are saying.

maybe I am wrong....but I am checking with some river rats to see what the deal is.

Re: July 4th Algonkian Paddle 'n Float

River should be fine according to a river rat that just messaged me.

In case it looks bad when we get there, bring some LMB lures as we can quickly get to BDR if we need to.

See you at 6....

Re: July 4th Algonkian Paddle 'n Float

POR looks good, slight raise

Little Falls is straight up, but that's below Algonquian.

Be careful & check guages before trip.
