Met Bruce at the ramp at 5:30 am. We were fishing a mile or so upriver by 6 am. Started out with topwater.......lots of hits, but every fish was short striking......they would not take it in their mouth. Switched to tubes and we caught 15 that way. Finally found a jerk bait bite and landed another 10. Total of 25 smallies and an 11 lb carp. The average smallie was 12-13". Off the water before noon.

Accidently snagged it in the side on a smallie tube lure..........

If someone went out there with some niblet corn.....they would have massive pullage all day long. Schools of big carp roaming everywhere looking for something to eat........not much grass growing yet.
