Launched from Pohick at 1pm. Not another bass boat or jet skier in sight - smiles on our faces. Had the creek to ourselves for outgoing tide and the south shore of the bay for incoming, and we capitalized. Lots of chunky 14-17" footballs, a few of which exceeded 3lbs. Green toads, white cranks and blue craws did most of the damage. A small incoming storm cell chased us off the water around 6, but by then our thumbs were ruff and we'd had enough. Water temps 68-72, stained at the front and clearer in the back. Great day to be on the water.

You have that look like....ahhh, just another huge fish (football). lol. Almost spit my coffee out this morning from laughing. What a heck of day fishing!

Haha I was actually pretty pleased, despite my odd facial expression.
That WP must've been 11-12in. I figured you would appreciate that Ernie, that's why i snapped the pic. It fought hard in the strong current. He thought it was a nice bass.
