Powhatan Fishing Report - 04/28/13

Pretty sad that my fishing reports are 6-7 weeks apart. Oh well.

Got an hour and a half to test local waters. Scared a copperhead at one pond, but managed four buck bass. I then headed over to my pond where a youngster pulled out a 19" bass a few weeks ago, but otherwise was rendered a bassless pond. Well, I tossed a few things and then settled with a zoom caterpillar. One bite, one fish. A nice 4lb 2oz female full of eggs.

First four pounder in a while. Makes me appreciate the fight and significance of that size fish.

I do think I need to do a fish relocation program. Most of the bass I catch in the pond referenced above (with the snake) are 13" or smaller. Moving a few over to my pond may create more balance. We shall see.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Well.....nice to see a post from down south! That's a good "one bite, one fish"!

Time to go fishin' again!

Hopeful to get a kayak roof rack for anniversary which should result in more reports!
