10-14 Pohick Bay- First Kayak Fishing Trip

Hello Folks,

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to join this great fishing forum.. hope to learn a lot from you guys... here is my first fishing report .. lol...

My friend Steve and I went to Pohick Bay on Sunday .. it was a beautiful day out on the water.  we launched at 745am and ended around 3pm...This was our first time there so we knew it was going to be slow.

The fishing was tough in the morning but things picked up after 1pm. I ended up catching one LMB (a 20" , 3.88 lbs ) and a 4 lbs catfish. Steve had one LMB about 1.5 lbs i think , one Yellow Perch and one small Striper.

A stripper or a striper.. I made the same mistake in spelling on a brochure once. Got a lot of calls but nobody wanted to fish. Now I call them convict bass so I never make that mistake again.

Nice report. In that second pic I see a potomac pike just to the right of the pesky LGMouth.

Thanks for posting.

OK.... I will bite.

Either you are kidding and I am to dense to figure that out, or I am blind and need to get glasses.  Which is it?

If it is really there, can you be more specific (draw a circle around it).  I would love to know what to look for.

If your comment was a joke....have you ever seen that comic "Here's your sign!" for stupid people asking really stupid questions?  Well I am wearing the sign.

You can not see it?

Hmm.. Dr said this condition will take a long time to cure.. He advised that I try not to stare so deeply into water till next June in 2013.

It is so bad that this morning I saw one in the shower.

Yea I got it bad..

Dude I tell you.... even though he was messing with us this time... Being on the water with Capt Mike is like having a human fish finder... he could see things in the water that none of us could, and he wasn't even wearing polarized sunglasses! He was spot on every time....Blew my mind!
