Cedar BGs were snappin' this afternoon...

....with many at 8 inches!

As I was finishing my bike ride this afternoon I saw Jeffie on the big lake and Andrew (theguvnor) throwing a fly at Alder. That inspired me to see if I could raise some BGs during the football game. And I did!

At 1st they would not take a wet fly and then I went to a dry fly but I didn't get many hits (all small guys). Then, I started to move the fly (crating a slight wake) on top and I got hammered! It was one after another. Total fun!

As it was getting close to dinner time, I said to myself, "next big one and I will quit". Well, that went on for 10-12 minutes with a ton of hits and no hookups. There were some big boils happening and I could not land a fish so I had to call it quits in frustration. As I was putting the fly in the hook holder, I noticed that part of the hook was broken. What?  mad

Sorry about no pics but I rarely take any measuring stuff and verification tools out when I am using the fly. I measure the BGs on my fly rod.

Any one know who won the game?

Time to go fishin' again!
