Algonkian

I fished algonkian for a bit this morning. Did ok. A lot of blow ups on the buzzbait. The smallies are really oriented to the grass beds, and I have never seen so much grass in the upper river. My guess is they are just looking for some shade once the sun gets up.

I was sitting in the kayak fishing on md side of the river when I hear what sounds like an ultralight aircraft buzzing down the river, except it is really slow in getting there, then around the bend comes an air boat. Like what you would see down the glades.  The guy is hauling --- down the grass beds and screwing up the fishing. I have never seen one of those on the river before and I'm not sure why you would need one on the upper river. I could kinda get it on the lower where some of the milfoil beds get too thick for a bass boat to make it through without fouling the trolling motor. But I can't imagine the fish are going to stick around long for something putting out 120 dB of noise like that.

Re: Algonkian

I've heard buzzing out there too, except what I saw were UAVs on patrol.

Also saw a P-51 Mustang cruizing low to the river one early morning.
