8 July - North Fork of the Shenandoah

Waded in much later than I intended at 9:40 AM.  Was very afraid of getting skunked, the water was low and there's not a lot of shade.  All things considered did alright, 2 8-9" SMB on a translucent Rapala suspending minnow, 1 8" SMB on a black Gulp hellgrammite behind a Carolina rig, 1 Channel Catfish while drop-shotting a hellgrammite and 3 Shellcrackers on a combinations of those same lures.

Saw some dead fish in the water, not a fish kill by any means, my guess is heat stress deaths.  All cyprinids, a carp, a river chub and a fallfish.
