my last 3 deep sea excursions have left a lot of skunk... I want to find someone who knows how to catch the fishes. who do you know?

Aaron is not deep sea....he is inshore. Others that are inshore that are good: Donnie Davis, Reese Stecker, Sarah Gardner and Brian Horsley.

Try Capt. Shakleford of Doghouse Sportfishing. Check the website to see daily pics of their catches. The Doghouse is a big custom built NC boat that is able to fish almost any conditions. We went out in 40 mph winds and loaded up on dolphin. Only one other boat made it to the gulf stream that day. He currently has her docked in Wanchese which is closer than OI. Good bed and breakfast there too. When we stayed they sent us off in the morning with hot sandwiches.

Here is Jonathan's info (if you want to talk to him, let me know):

All of them are good but I recommend:

1) Pelican- Capt. Arch
2) Point Runner- Capt. Danny
3) Water Witch- Capt. Monty

These boats are all out of Oregon inlet. Pirates Cove is more pricey but the Sea Toy is real good.

Some OBX inshore guides also fish the sound....specks, blues, striper, flounder, puppies.

so we have decided we dont want to go deepsea fishing, we want to go inland/LMB/whatever inland fishing. small boat using regular ole LMB tackle. which would be best?

Capts. Donnie Davis (DOA), Aaron Kelly (Rock Solid), Reese Stecker (Beach Bum), Sarah Gardner (Fly Girl), Brian Horsley (Flat Out) and Bryan Dehart.

In no order...they are all good!!! Look in the RECOMMENDED CHARTERS section of the Forum, all their info is there.

Gardner and Horsley are really good with the fly....
