Finally fished this area for the first time this year. I wanted to get some more sleep rather than get up early and go the the Fletcher's area. So I decided to head over to Kepheart and got launched by 8:45. First I caught some sunfish and really small smallies on a mini firetiger crankbait. Then I just missed a largemouth. I threw to the same area with a senko and got this yellow-bellied one.
I had some company.
Then I had some less friendly company. A Canada goose thought it would be a good idea to attack me. I've got rods and I know how to use them. Then I went on the offensive and chased it up the creek some.
Once I got to the river I tried just upstream a bit with a new black/blue rage tail craw. I was dragging it along the bottom when I hooked up with a good one. I was using my setup with 30lb braid+20lb fluoro leader so I wasn't going to hesitate in muscling it in and I thought I had it stuck good. But it came flying about three feet out of the water and got off. It must've been a 4lb-er largemouth.
I fished all the way down to Lansdowne only getting one smallie on a senko. Then on the way back, in the area across from the creek and just up the the creek I got two more smallies. Both went for the lime Bomber A I got on clearance at Walmart.
The second one I didn't realize I had until it got tangled on my other line with it started moving.

I wish we had this on video ..... I had a good laugh imagining you chasing the goose!
Thanks for the report!

I've caught two fish on one lure, but I've never caught two lures on one fish. Nice job.
