Stopped by one of the lakes on the way home from work. Landed a spawned out female weighing 2lbs 5 oz (very skinny belly) on a spinnerbait.

Very nice colors!

In my walks around the ABC lakes, I have not seen any beds.....are they spawning deeper?

They are done spawning. Finished about 2 weeks ago with a couple stragglers last week. Spawning fish were a little deeper in some areas, but I saw plenty shallow.

So they spawned before the BGs? I caught quite a few fet bellied and ready to spawn BGs last night.....

I think this is the 2nd BG spawn. A lot of them were on beds 3-4 weeks ago.

Not on Cedar.....they came up briefly in March and then receeded.
