Pacemaker Fishing Forum

Got out fishing yesterday in the kayaks with a friend. Fished in the Gunston Cove-Pohick Bay area. It was a beautiful day even though the wind kicked up a little in the afternoon. Never saw another kayak or bassboat all day...strange. Anyway, caught about a dozen largemouth bass between us, as well as a few yellow perch and a channel catfish. Nothing too big--best bass was 2.25 lbs and the best perch was 12". No pictures taken as it's hard enough fishing from a kayak without being a photographer too. Tried many different lures but the only productive ones were Rat L' Traps or Rattling Raps in firetiger or lime green colors. Saw and heard a lot of active carp on the surface. Great day to be on the water....
