Repair or rebuild of your fishing rod

Last year, I purchased several custom rods from Joe Onorato (J & J Sport Services): http://www.jjsportsservice.com/. He does really good work at very reasonable prices and they are great looking rods with great action. One of them was donated to the BRHS Fishing Club and they raffled it off at one of their events.

Obviously, I was impressed so I sent him two old rods for rebuilds. One was a 60's St. Croix spinning rod and the other an original Berkley Series One casting rod. Both turned out perfect! Feel free to come by for closer inspection if need be.....

I am getting ready to send him 2-3 more older rods for rebuilds.

If anyone is interested in having a rod repaired or rebuilt by Joe, let me know and I can send it in for you so he can look at it and give you a price.

Send him that steel rod and see what he can do with it. How's the re-coup going? Heard there are a few in the discharge.

Hey Joe? You ever worked on an old steel rod? It will be coming your way!

I have a group of old timers around here that love those old relics , some are round and some
multi sided . The traditional wraps I've seen on them are one piece spirials

Re: Repair or rebuild of your fishing rod

I just got a donated trolling rod from Joe. All I can say is WOW....check it out!

I sent him 2 very old rods (one glass that will have a very old but perfectly working casting reel on it and one steel) along with a very used St. Croix Glass Casting rod. I can't wait to see what he does to them.
