Occoquan 1-7-12 + pics

It was just over 40 degrees when we got on the water, but over 60 when we left.  Our goal was yellow perch, but they were not to be found..............still too early.  Jeff English puts the skunk off the boat with a nice bass on a crappie jig.

I follow up on the next cast with a nice one too.

We bumped into Travis on the way through the bridge.

We tried silver buddies for perch/crappie, but only managed a few crappie.  The rest of the morning Jeff threw a twisty tail jig and I threw a P&J.  We ended up with 6 or 7 bass total for the day.......all caught on rock wall dropoffs in 10-15' of water.  Two more of the bass...............

I got nothing.  Looks like I fished some of the same areas too.
