My son Jon, Chris and I met up with Gary Neitsey at 7:10 AM at the Kent Narrows ramp for a day of fishing. Gary fishes from a 23' Everglades with a 225HP Yammie. Nice rig!
Many thanks to the good Captain for donating this trip to the NoVA CCA. I happened to be the high bidder.
Under the bridge we went.....
.....and on fish right away!
Most were undersized but we were catching lots of them...steady action for a bit. I used this kure to catch a keeper on top.....
....but somehow I forgot to get a shot of it.
Jon and Chris definitely enjoyed themselves....
We fished some friends (literally)....
....and enjoyed the scenery!
Dinner!
For the day we caught over 75 fish, mostly stripers with a few blues in the mix.

Nice report. Was that an A&W root beer in that pic?

I'm hoping for some good salty action too this weekend and to bring home some blues myself.

Looks like you had wind too, thought that trip was supposed to be last week.
No wind.....calm seas and sunny skies. Oct 7 was always the date for this one.

Great report. That's an interesting looking lure, don't think I've seen one like that before.

I've used it twice and caught fish both times with it. They call it a "Surface Tension". Can be fished a lot of ways, mostly on top.
