Pacemaker Fishing Forum

Our speaker at the August 31 meeting will be author and professional fisherman Beau Beasley.  Beau's illustrated talk is entitled "Fishing the Best Waters of the Mid-Atlantic." Beau recently published a new book titled Fly Fishing the Mid Atlantic. Those who have met or listened to Beau know that he is an engaging and informative speaker. His knowledge of fly fishing and top fishing locations in the mid-Atlantic is vast. Beau is a frequent contributor to the Mid-Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide, a contributing editor for Fly Fish America, and the Mid-Atlantic states field editor for Eastern Fly Fishing. His work has appeared in Fly Fisherman, American Angler, Fly Tier, Virginia Wildlife, Fly fisher, Blue Ridge Outdoors, and Fly Rod & Reel.  In 2005 he won the Talbot Denmead Award for conservation sponsored by Bass Pro Shops for his work on the Chesapeake Bay. His first book, Fly Fishing Virginia: A No Nonsense Guide to Top Waters, won the Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers Book Award as well as the prestigious Excellence in Craft Award in 2009. 

As always, PRSC meetings are held at the Vienna Firehouse starting at 7:15 PM. Lots of members meet up at the Vienna Inn for some chili dogs prior to the meeting....
