Snake in Mattawoman Creek, MD - July 31, 2011
We fished for snakehead in the evening. We had many hits by snakehead but somehow none of us landed one. Then I saw a snake approached my lure and withdrew. I was just curious. I cast 7 times and made the snake bite the tail of the lure. It didn't let go the lure for a minute. I had to shake off the snake.

That is crazy! It looked pretty determined to hang on to your lure. Did you ever figure out what kinda of snake it was?

Saw about 20 water snakes about a couple weeks ago in Aquia Creek with Odenkirk.
