Jeff C. and I were on the water by 5:30 am and tried hard for a topwater bite..........NADA.  Switched to CB's and silver buddies.........could only get fish on the crankbaits.  It was a tough morning without a striper .  My best fish was this 2-8 LMB.

Although, Jeff was the channel cat king today, his best fish was this 14.99" smallie:

His smallie had a chunk taken out of the top by a heron.
