Deale, 7-2-11

Lessons learned:

1. I you go to Deale on a Saturday, expect a lot of boat traffic
2. If you go with Mo....expect to stop at Ledo's

We put in at the Tri-Stae Marina around 3:45PM and there were lots of boats parading around.

We took a peek at the bay but the wind was blowing east (15-20) so I wanted no part of that. To the jetty! Mo took the skunk off....

We then went bird watching....

....we had decided to try the other side of the harbor since the tide was up but only found one fish. Of course we were doing 3mph on the drift due to the wind. Sean almost managed to hook up a nice one.....a very attractive woman who was crabbing at the end of the pier! We untagled the line and she said "good luck" (and probably good ridance).

Sean got his 1st of the day....

....and I got the only striper!

What a gorgeous afternoon....

We probably caught 40-50 WPs today....tough bite to say the least, very subtle. You almost had to leave the lure on the bottom and gently drag it along. The hits were noe existant. They would pick up the offering much like a bass picks up a soft plastic bait.

We finished it off at Ledo's in Deale!

Time to go fishin' again!
