Gwynn's Island May 29

Nothing like out of date stories. I went out from the middle peninsula of VA at Gwynn's Island with Capt. Chris Newsome the day before Memorial Day in the afternoon.

Beautiful day, tough fishing.  I got my first striper with the bug throwing stick.  It's a dink schoolie, but it's mine and it's a start.  I got one more and so did my buddy who split the charter with me both out at the Stingray Pt. Light near Deltaville, no fish over two pounds.  We were throwing bass assassins with spinning rods, it was too windy for me to throw flies.

Agreed and let me state that I would have run the 7 miles up river and fished for green trout.. Chris is very good BTW.

Perhaps I would have faired the same. Thanks for the report..
