Occuquan reservoir 4/29

Sorry for the late report, but took my son out for his 1st trip on a row boat w/trolling motor out of Fountainhead Marina.  Very slow day with very few fish seen jumping out of the water.  Alot of guys on the water were skunked or not catching much.  I think the water is still a bit cold.  Threw lures to no avail and only managed to catch about a 3.5 lb female full of eggs on a medium shiner.  No pics since we wanted to get her back in the water as soon as possible.  I think my son had more fun playing with the bucket of minnows than fishing or driving the boat.  Beautiful day fishing is better than working or doing chores!

Re: Occuquan reservoir 4/29

The Sunday tournaments out of Fountainhead have had pretty big bags lately with the exception of this past weekend. I heard very few boats even caught a limit.
