Potomac 1/9

Was not expecting to fish today on account of high winds and cold temps but once I got a call from Curly I knew I couldn't be shown up so we arranged to meet at an "undisclosed location" Curly arrived before I did and I dont know how well he did but as soon as I got there I knew my weapon of choice was going to be a pointer 100 jerkbait. First cast, BAM fish on and a fatty she was

nothing for a little bit so I decide to try a spinnerbait since it was so windy, nada, zip, zilch...so back to the jerkabait and wam bam boom I started catching fish again

I made a long cast next to some structure and got two cranks down on it when I felt it take so with a quick sweep I set the hook an fight on, it had some weight and pullage to it so I initially thought carp but it was shaking and ran straight at me like a bass, it wasnt until it was ft from me that I saw it was a greenie, and barely hooked outside the mouth, scarrrryyyyy! I made my way down to her and lipped her, she went 4.5 and it wasnt until I got home and looked at the pictures that I realized it's the same fish I caught 2 weeks ago, some scar on the head and scale pattern, amazing to catch the same fish 100 yards from the first location.

Curly also caught one and I caught one one but no pics.. We were ready to call it and I get one last bite so we take a picture of the last fish

Re: Potomac 1/9

Nicely done gents....the rest of us have Cabin fever.    tongue

However.....the cold, windy weather has caused me to clean out my basement and I have listed a ton of stuff on Craigs List (non fishing). The 1st sale transacts tomorrow....money will go into the "guide" jar!     wink

Time to go fishin' again!

Sweet! Well done Thai and Curly. And I thought Curly wasn't going to travel all that way anymore! Guess you can't take the motivation out of him no matter what!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
