Why do you and Redfish keep tempting me? You know I have the will power of a 3 yr old in a candy store.

Re: Trolling rod, spinning reel

Haha I can't decide which one to keep Ernie! I think it like the tidemaster more than the all star... but neither are getting any use right now! I trolled all weekend and I have reconfirmed my feeling - I hate it!

I know the feeling....but I do like trolling when on someone else's boat that knows what they are doing.

Re: Trolling rod, spinning reel

I don't have a rod that size. It's a never ending cycle, why couldn't I have been addicted to drugs or something sensible

Re: Trolling rod, spinning reel

Yup! It's got a Penn 5500 SSG on it now, which is probably close. I thought about putting a bait feeder reel on the rod, but I prefer conventional reels for that purpose.
