ashburn lake July 26 , on boat or kayak, night: around 7:30PM

Going fishing with griffin(from brhs fishing club) tomorrow on the rowboat around 7:30PM.  It's going to be full moon, hopefully we'll catch some bass!

Anyone else is welcome to join us.

Re: ashburn lake July 26 , on boat or kayak, night: around 7:30PM

haha, funny story...

we were actually putting in at 8:30

first we had a problem with griffin getting off work late, then we found out charlie took the boat tie downs so we had to find something else and that took a bit, and by the time we got everything in(which took longer than usually because we took it in a vehicle we've never used before for this) and ready and drove there we had problems putting the trolling motor on because it had been previously adapted for the other boat...so we finally got out on the water around 8:30, then found out the trolling motor wasn't working, so we just paddled out for a little bit, took some casts, chilled, then left around 9 because it was getting dark

no fish sad (well, we didn't have much time to fish) ...but good learning experience , we'll be much faster getting ready when we go fishing later in the week

hopefully charlie will get the good tie-downs back to us for later this week

Sounds like a little sibling rivalry!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

a buddy of mine said he fished the lake yesterday afternoon, straight across from the parking lot at that first island, caught 8 or so in 2 hours, a couple 3#ers as well. he was using a shallow crank all along the coast of the island. bass were holding in 12-18 inches of water.
