Sunday Report

Not many fish this trip. Got a few on wacko worms early on but it was like the fish just turned off. I tried pop-rs / spooks/ horny toads/ frogs/ small cranks and some hair bugs. It was very odd..

Blood red moon on the rise as we motored back with our tail between our legs.

Re: Sunday Report

Full moon?

Wrong tide?

Fish too hot?

I would rather be out than not!

Re: Sunday Report

I think in hindsight I rushed back too quick looking for a topwater bite. I should have stayed on the grass edges main creek and picked up my fish on worms. My guys last night where not getting it and missed 80% of the good water by just reeling in the worm. I tried real hard to get them to drop the edges and changed over to topwater hoping the visual bite would help. The clouds came in and the water was moving but the fish did not look up and followed the tide far back into the woods. So we went to horney toads and fished far back but they kept reeling the frog over top of the pads. I should have been able to get them a bite somehow. I got about 4 fish myself trying to get them excited about the prospects.

They got one total.
