6-19-10, Cadar blue gillin'

David Policansky and I wore them out using 3wt fly rods. We caught 50+ BGs and 20+ bass, a couple of which were over 1 pound. All of this while the sun was up high (11-12:15).

Good fun for sure!

This is my kind of weather....I did a 20 mile bike ride in the early AM, then fished with David and I just mowed the lawn....1st time in a few years as Debbie loves to do it but she is real busy getting son #3 settle in at his new college digs.

That's a cherry from my Yashima cherry tree....I stalked those carp and never saw them taking a mulberry when they were on the tree. The birds ate most of them.

The Yashima Cherry is the same tree that's at the Tidal Basin. They are known for flowers....not their teeny fruit!   hmm

If your on the road between cedar and beech, and you go back the left side of beech, to the very far back corner, you come to a tiny lil walkway where the storm drain dumps into cedar. if you stand above the storm drain, and look towards pool, the storm drain opens up in a to a lil pool, then the overgrowth has closed it off.  in that lil pool I found 2-3 nice size bass hanging out in there.

I am mentally trying to follow your directions. The growth has closed off the little pool of water in Cedar or Beech?

Re: 6-19-10, Cadar blue gillin'

I was there yesterday when it was 100 and found no love    sad    but then again, I only made 20 casts or so.

Come to think of it, if Curly was fishing with me, he would have been 500 yards from there by the time I made my last cast.   lol
