my dad wanted to go to fredricksburg today so i brought my rods.. we ran into this lake that i think was called hunters run but i didnt pay attention. there was a ton of brush! so i pitched a lizard and after a few minutes i caught a small one, then i got snagged. so i switched to a zara spook, first cast slam! comes out of the water but came off seconds later looked to be about 1 pound. then i switched to a baby brush hog only landing one on that before i left. the lady that was renting out john boats said that this lake was the second best bass fishing lake in virginia.. i dont know if that was an opinion or what but for 20 minutes fishing i was satisfied with what i caught.

isnt it great to hit a new piece of water and catch fish ?

Probably Hunting Run. I don't know if it is still ranked one of the best lakes in the region but when it first opened a few years ago it was ranked very high.

yea thats it. there were bass boats everywhere. very clear water, its not that far away either. i might go back and rent one of those john boats.
