Today, Jeff English (Jumping Jasper), Josh Turner (L1 Ranger) and I floated the Upper Potomac River from Landers MD and down to Point of Rocks VA (about 3 miles).. It was a beautiful, clear day with temps getting up in the low 90s. River was slow and low.
We met up around 8 AM and in minutes, Jeff was catching smallies and blue gill. It took me a while to get into the flow.
We each caught 7-8 smallmouth bass but the biggest, which Josh caught, was just under 14”!
Here is Jeff with a decent smallie. Cool looking rig!
We had some excellent views (you can see Josh and Jeff on the right).
Take a look at this home made rod (by Josh). Ever seen anything like it?
We took a rest and the “boys” started looking for madtoms and crawdads….pretty cool!
Another awesome day to be out on the water!

enjoyed it fellas - we'll have to do it again. I'd love to hit that stretch with some more water

I agree Josh...there were some very fishable places....if there was just a bit more water. Say when and we go again!
