abc saturday

me and my dad battled the hurricane for around 2 hours, we mainly stayed on beech but took a few casts at each, he had no luck on his wacky worm but i caught one on it when he set it down (dink). then i caught another dink on a zoom paddle tail worm(junebug).. then about ten minutes later i saw a pod of fry. i called my dad over and told him that there would be a male guarding them so he could catch up. so i throw my worm in there and hooked up. it was 1 - 1 1/2 pounds. i was surprised that the pattern worked and proud that i caught one. i did get a few hits on a brush hog but no luck other than that smile

Re: abc saturday

i fished ashburn mid afternoon

the high sky tempered my optimism, but i hoped the big wind might fire-up the rip rap

short story: i caught nothing, the wind got stronger

I have seen dead bluegill and crappie along that bank for two weeks or more

maybe 15 today

i noticed sick ones milling about in the shallows a while back

some exhibited a type of fungus

one had it all over it's head and appeared to be blind

i dont know what is killing these fish, but i have never seen it before

i can only guess it is coming in from the main creek in stormwater
