Yep....the Top Water bite was hot between 5:40 and 6:20 PM!
While I missed many opportunities, I did manage to land 10 LMB up tp 6.....inches!
These little suckers were hungry! As you can see, I was using the fly rod (4wt) and a teeny foam popper (black). I bet I had twice the misses than fish landed. These guys are rookies!
As well, I landed 10 nice Blue Gills!
These guys were big, aggressive and got mad as all get out once they realized they were caught.
It's been a while since I had that much fun in such a short period of time. Go figure...a Top Water bite in early April!

At least we know why Cedar has been slow this year...Ernie is tearing it up! The big fish "recruiting" effort starts earlier and earlier in a bass' growth!
