Fishing License...

Yup, I am writing a topic about purchasing fishing licenses. Because we have been mired in this insane winter weather, I have held off my purchase until today. I am now legal to fish in VA again. Go me! I hope to get out today. I also hope to receive my birthday shipment of bass pro fishing tackle today too.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

I don't even know if they're catchable yet, but once the vegetation grows they'll be there.

I've been checking the charts for Pohick. It's mostly very shallow until the main river channel but there is also a fairly deep ditch over by the Ft. Belvoir docks with the WWII landing boats.

Easy now...you are giving away one of my spots (learned from a famous crappie Capt.)!

You are too funny.....the spot is near there but not quite where you mentioned....although I will try it!

There ain't too many spots on the Potomac that haven't been tried by someone....heck, I may have fished there 25 years ago....wait, you weren't even born!

Should be some striper chances in about 3-4 weeks.  Otherwise, other species in warmer water discharges over the next 2-4 weeks...............

Walleye can be caught right now....White Perch will roll in later this month...........and then it all starts!

Re: Fishing License...

haha, i'm so tempted but what if one jumps out of the tank or chokes on a lure....(i've really been thinkin about it). My pbass are worth at least $250 each so, as much as I really want to, I won't (unless the fishing gets really bad).
