Looking at the Potomac River today......

Spectacular!

I have been couped up in 3 days of meetings but today I am sitting by a large window with a great view of Reagan airport and the river.

Lots of white stuff still on the ground but the river is a beautiful blue-green color. It looks great!

My mind is racing with all the fishing possibilities that are about to face us......it won't be long.

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Looking at the Potomac River today......

With the forecast for the next few weeks I think we're going to have a lot of snow melt flowing into the river. Hopefully it will all melt before June...

Sure it is all gone?

There is NO ice as far as I can see when I cross the 14th St bridge.....no ice in the Washington Channel either.

I have never seen the Potomac so beautifully colored as it was when I went over Point of Rocks on Sunday. It was as Ernie described and I can't wait to fish it.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

I drove by on the GW Parkway on Monday and there was still big chunks of ice in the river.  If I go this weekend with the boat..........I don't want any ice to worry about.

Sure it is all gone?

if you can launch, occoquan river is free of ice.

plenty of bass, crappie, and YP to be had there

either way, don't be shy about asking me to go

Someone just told me that the ramp at the Occoquan was unplowed and closed as of yesterday.
