Baitcaster or Spining?

I want to start using a baitcaster since i use crankbaits a lot. I'm just looking for a good starter baitcasting combo, until i get the hang of it, and later invest in a higher quality rod and reel. I saw the berkley Amp rod and it has got some good reviews since it's under $30.00. Any suggestions about what baitcasting combo you would take would be helpful.

Re: Baitcaster or Spining?

IMO I would only use an AMP to throw cranks, it's too whipy and soft for most other applications and how much are you willing to spend on a reel? The daiwa procasters are great beginner reels and aren't costly at all.
